Long Sutton golf Club

Long Sutton Golf and Country Club is a privately owned, gently undulating, parkland golf course, set on the edge of the levels in the heart of South Somerset.

The golf club was opened in 1991 and is now an established and challenging golf course, which is one of the best in the local area. Since coming under new ownership in September 2019, a huge amount of investment has gone into the golf course to improve the golfing experience.

 Golfing Experience

• 18-hole parkland golf course — A well-maintained par 71 course set within scenic parkland, designed by Patrick Dawson. It spans about 6,300–6,400 yards and offers a fair but challenging layout with mature trees, strategic bunkers and water features suitable for a variety of skill levels.

• Practice facilities — Includes a driving range, putting green, and often other short-game areas to warm up before play.

• Pro Shop & Coaching — Onsite pro shop with equipment, gear and club fitting; PGA qualified coaching and lessons are usually available.

• Buggy & Trolley Hire — Options to hire electric buggies or pull/push trolleys.

Clubhouse & Hospitality

• Restaurant and bar — A clubhouse offering meals, drinks and social space after golf. Reviews highlight a good selection of food (including Sunday roast and lunches), friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere.

• Social activities — The clubhouse often hosts social events and can be a lively venue for gatherings beyond golf.
